Why I Had to Tell This Story

I had to tell this story because it felt like mine was taken away from me.

Being someone who has lived through traumatic things, I have watched my story be told in ways that left me overexposed and victimized. It felt like being handed back my own life by people who defended the harm while others watched.

Creating this project is how I take that power back.

I have never seen this represented in this specific way, and that is because this is my story. If others see themselves in it, my message to them is simple:

Everything coming apart does not have to be the end.
